{ Why Are My Hip Joints Out Of Alignment? }

First Off…. ⁈ What does that really mean to you?

Have you asked your healthcare provider what they really mean by that?

 Also, what problems would that cause?

 I tend to find myself talking to clients with severely different understandings of this. AND If not confronted, people have a strong mis-understanding that can leave them fearful of moving and exercising.

Therefore

 We need to dig deeper to have a better understanding of what really is going on

 And WHAT we can do about it!

Often times, we CAN correct it without even having to frequently manipulate the spine!

What's The Best Way To Sit At Work With Lower Back Pain? | Physical Therapy | Ballantyne

{ Whats the Best Way To Sit At Work With Lower Back Pain? } ‼️I can’t tell you how often I get asked this question! 

If you want to use the Swiss ball intermittently, ONLY do about 10-20 minutes! 

Reason being is that your lower back muscles simply CAN’T tolerate that amount of load for an 8 hour day.

In reality, we need to find a more comfortable, SUPPORTIVE, position!

I like a lumbar roll, towel, etc., in your middle back instead of your lower spine! 

… Shocking I know…

But, I can’t argue the truth and what I’ve seen in my practice in the past years.

Try it out!

? {Have You Been Told By Your Doctor To Stop Running Because Of Your Bad Knees?}

??‍♂️ I work with a lot of runners, and I hear this ALL of the time.

? The craziest thing to me is that the doctor’s are basing this off of a static, X-RAY… ❗️ That’s it!

? No Running assessment, no digging deeper, no understanding of “WHY” your knees hurt.

? Just a rudimentary reason based solely from an X-ray…

? When it’s been proven X-rays alone don’t justify pain!

​? Dig deeper, understand your WHY, and get back to running!

{ Why Doesn't My Spine Lie Flat On My Bed At Night? }

? After a long night and as we lie on our backs, we may notice something… ? Why isn’t our lower back touching the bed?

?? I hear this all of the time from my clients and often times they sound confused and worried.

⼻ The reality is, this is a great step towards improving awareness in your lower spine

?Since our spines probably should lie flat on our bed at night when we lie on our backs

?? As stated in the video, your hip flexors or muscles in your back may incredibly tight, holding your lower back in an arched position!

❗️ { Why Does The Outside Of My Knee Hurt When Running? }

? Check out this video to learn the top 3 Reasons you can have pain in and around the outside of your knee!

? Although it’s a simple concept, the reality of changing the way you run can be very difficult

? Often times it’s a subconscious movement AND

? We have to re-teach it!

⏱ Whenever you teach your subconscious brain how to do things, it certainly takes time.

Why?

?? Because you’ve already practiced a certain way of moving all of your life! ? Therefore being under the supervision of a practitioner who understands your needs

​? And can provide you with the right cocktail and dosage of exercises is the guy / gal you need!

?And give it time. It takes time to ‘deconstruct’ your way of moving and to ‘re-construct’ your newfound way of moving! Cheers.

? Lets Face it… ? Having a healthy body can cost money. ? Money we may rather spend on … a new car, a new phone, a fancy dinner.

? But what we don’t see

??‍♂️ Is the cost if we DON’T take care of our body.

? Heck, even X-rays and MRI”s can add up quickly

??‍⚕️ Let alone surgery!

? One gentleman I recently talked to said between losing his job and the surgery, he figured out it costed him around $420,000 in total…. ⁈ Holy Moses.

? So lets, as a culture, shift our mindset about the “cost” of health ?? and rather integrate it starting at a younger age!
